Norman

Though my teeth sit on the shelf behind the mirror and gravity has hammered my spine into an “S,” I remain frozen behind my passing molecules, the moments of my memory shaking.

I was looking through some old works of mine to see how I had done them and I came across this incompletion. I wanted to minimalize lines without being too impressionist. Just never got around to really finishing. The bird is a white and gray cockatiel named Norman. He was a beautiful and affectionate little fella. I found it amusing to think of a character named Norman, and imagined that by titling it Norman some may also imagine a character named Norman and this is his bathroom. The paint was all applied with two small pallette knives.
